Facebook-Is it safe?
I once read an article just a couple months back on cnn.com on how one man got emailed through facebook by his "friend" on how he was sick and needed money. Well this "friend" asked for help and needed money sent to him to this one address. The man sent the money to the address, but later found out that some other guy hacked into his friend's facebook account and emailed him. He never got his money back. Today, many teenagers and even adults have gotten facebooks like me. As far as I know, even kids that are in elementary school have facebooks. The question is though if facebook is really safe? Even though facebook has created privacy settings, it still is not very secure. Teenagers don't care about these settings that they should be paying more attention to. Instead they are inviting trouble by letting "outsiders", meaning people that they don't know, view their wall, photos, and even their personal information. The privacy settings are there for a reason. Facebook should encourage more people to pay more consideration into these privacy settings. After all, safety comes first.
Music...These Days
Who likes good music these days? I know I do! Nowadays, with music like TiK ToK and Bad Romance, I'm not exactly sure it's what I'd call "quality" music. I remember back in the days, the music was more about the lyrics, not so much about the crazy intense beats or useless words. But today the definition of songs has massively changed and I'm not exactly sure I like it. Now it is more about the music and computerizing voices than the actual words that artists are saying. There are still many artists like John Mayer, for instance, who still write about meaningful things like his new song "Heartbreak Warfare", but it really is bad when his sentimental song doesn't make the charts, while TiK ToK and Bad Romance do. Artists today pretend that they are someone else, but I think that they should write songs about their feelings rather than fake emotions. Maybe if they sing what is on their mind, people might appreciate and really enjoy their songs. I really liked songs like Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, but now where do we get songs like that? Please feel free to comment on what you think of this.
